Manager - Plan | Coordinate | Execute | SupportAs the business intelligence project manager I took charge of the entire business intelligence delivery life-cycle. I developed both the enterprise business intelligence strategy and the roadmap to drive the business towards the objectives of maturing data competency, creating trusted governed data, and enabling scalability in operations. I was then able to put the plan into action; leading the development of our enterprise data warehouse, establishing our business intelligence center of excellence, and driving the business intelligence application selection and training process.Analyst - Educate | Elicit | Analyze | DesignAs the business and data analyst I lead the requirements gathering process across the enterprise to develop a holistic vision of the current operational practices and stakeholder requirements. I used this knowledge to identify and prioritize high-value data backed solutions. I conducted data analysis on source systems, defined and documented source-to-target ETL requirements, and managed the data warehouse design employing the Kimball methodology.

Architect - Design | Build | Visualize | TrainAs a BI Architect I was responsible for the design of the project foundation; This included evaluating incoming data, designing analytical data models, mapping multiple disparate data sources into relational models. I was then able to build and automate the data modifications and blending necessary to populate the analytical model. I delivered visualizations in many forms; KPI dashboards for monitoring and performance, 360 customer views, data quality, operational overview, customer facing, etc. Training involved; educating stakeholders on how to navigate and interpret dashboards in the reporting environment, how to engage with a KPI dashboard and use it to manage your performance, enabling stakeholders to build their own dashboards and conduct their own analysis.Analyst - Elicit | Advise | Evaluate | DefineAs a BI Analyst I was tasked with understanding the goal of the projects I managed and making sure our tasks continued to align with that goal. This involved a great deal of creativity when trying to elicit solid user requirements from stakeholders. I approached this process in an iterative manner. Taking time to listen to all stakeholders, evaluate the information along side everything else I know, then advise on what could be done differently or may not be possible. With quality information in hand I am able to define the scope of what needs to be done and create the materials necessary to explain the solution to all stakeholders.
