I am a Sr Manager of Data Science at CVS Health. I have a PhD in Geophysical Sciences from the University of Chicago, and eight years of research and data science experience in various domains, such as hospice, end-of-life care, social determinants of health, behavioral health, paleobiology, ecology, and biogeochemistry.As a leader and a data scientist, I apply analytic methods to connect disparate datasets using R and Python, and to generate insights that inform decisions and actions. I have two years of director-level management experience, overseeing the people, projects, and capabilities of the data science department. I also have a strong track record of academic research, with five first-author publications and over twenty conference presentations to diverse audiences. I am passionate about using data for social good, and I enjoy collaborating with technical disciplines, while engraining empathy for our clients into our processes.
