Currently working as a Health and Safety Advisor Apprentice for a prestigious Tier 1 Main Contractor, working towards my SHE Technician L3 Qualification.

Working for a reputable tiling sub-contractor based in Essex, my role at Elite Tiling Ltd entailed: ● Preparing tender enquiries for management review (Initial enquiry, M40 Specification/BIM Alternative, Design Drawings). If signed off by management I would then contact material supplier(s) to obtain prices to facilitate tender for respective Estimator. ● Actively chasing live quotations submitted to multiple Main Contractors in the UK Construction Industry.● Assisting Estimator by obtaining quotations for materials, carrying out take-offs on CAD Autodesk to establish quantities and being entrusted to populate and send Bill of Quantities (BoQ's) to main contractors for review of our overall quotation.● Populating O&M Manuals to provide aftercare information to Contractors/Clients of the respective products and materials utilised on the project. ● Posting updates on the company website and LinkedIn. Sustaining a healthy online presence for the business.

Delivering Level 1 in Construction Course for 16-19 Study Programme. Units included:● Health & Safety in Construction ● Working in Construction ● Carpentry Hand Skills● Environmental Awareness in Construction Also, I had the privilege of teaching SEN learners basic construction and how the respective skills can be implemented in their day to day lives. Preparing them for adult life and enhancing their opportunities for future employment. Furthermore, I also delivered an ESOL Basic Construction Course for Afghan and Ukrainian refugees. Imparting knowledge to the learners of fundamental construction legislation in the United Kingdom, basic practical skills which included carpentry and electrical studies. Signposting learners to be eligible for taking the Health, Safety and Environmental Test to apply for the CSCS Green Labourer Card. Enhancing their future employment prospects in the UK Construction Industry.Also had the pleasure of delivering a two day Health and Safety in Construction course to job-seeking adults. Which after their successful completion enabled them to take the Health, Safety and Environmental Test to apply for a CSCS Card.Finally, I also taught short-courses in the local community in the form of 'DIY Power Tools for Women' which I thoroughly enjoyed and met women from various age demographics, breaking the stigma and increasing their confidence to carry out practical tasks independently.

Facilitating the Construction Department by preparation of practical classroom areas prior to lessons taking place. Also, shadowing lecturers while delivering lessons and assisting learners with queries/questions if requested.

During my time in the Retail Industry, I worked as a Supervisor for Savers Health, Home and Beauty Ltd. Initially at the Westcliff Store, then being transferred to the Southend High Street retail unit. Responsibilities of my role included:● Regularly being Shift Manager and managing/motivating team members to foster a positive and productive working environment. ● Providing exemplary customer service, assisting customers with enquires and processing refunds/returns if necessary. ● Being entrusted to open the Store for trading, also closing of store if working respective shift. ● Responsibility of counting earnings for the trading day, implementing figures into Company Management System to ascertain data.● Carrying out merchandising across a variety of stores within the South-East and London Region. Stores included Dagenham Heathway, Elm Park and Wickford. ● Regularly meeting and exceeding Savers Active Selling (SAS) KPI's.
