His background in retail marketing transitioned easily into commercial brokerage where he now specializes in urban planning, leasing, and sales, with a focus on San Francisco restaurants and retail. His true strength lies in assisting principals and organizations navigate the complex and sometimes challenging San Francisco commercial landscape including zoning and planning advice, ABC and entertainment permitting, conditional use and formula retail guidance, and lease and property administration and negotiation. Mr. Baird's agency clients rely heavily on his knowledge of current trends and active retail segments, along with his familiarity of Bay Area zoning and planning, alcohol and restaurant permitting, and formula retail knowledge in creating strategies to maximize value of retail projects through leasing and finally disposition. His tenant clients depend on his guidance with expansion strategy utilizing his familiarity with Bay Area markets as well as his knowledge of recent transactions and their relative value. Mr Baird lives in Marin with his wife and two children and spends his free time golfing, skiing, tinkering around the house, and racing in an amateur auto racing series.
