My passion is the beef cattle industry. I’ve been around cattle all my life from showing steers statewide in Texas to almost all my employment over the years. I’ve also said I’ve never wanted to be a cowboy, I strive to be a Cattlemen. I’ve worked for John Griswold of Griswold Cattle for four years and in my opinion he is one of the best cattlemen in the industry without a doubt. I started when I was in college at OSU as cheap labor then stayed on after graduating in May of 2014. In December of 2014 I moved down to the Poteau location to assume the managers position. I say assume because I technically don’t have the title of manager but that’s what I am. I’m in charge of all the cattle operation as far as calving and AI breeding. I do most of the AI work myself with the help of another employee. I’m also in charge of all our herd records on this operation. I love my job and this operation but I am always open to new career opportunities.I have the start of a family on the way in the near future and I know I would like to have a career where I can be involved in the cattle industry but also can have benefits of working for an established company.
