About Cameron Bodie
I am a junior Computer Engineering student at Milwaukee school of Engineering with numerous and diverse, hands-on and team-based project experiences. Devoting 30 hours a week between classes, weekly tutoring sessions with group tutees, and Carter Academy Events. I have skills in Java, VHDL, Python, C, Assembly, programming Intel FPGA’s, designing/simulating circuits using MultiSim, and using digital tools (such Analog Discovery, DMM, Oscilloscopes) to verify the function of circuits. From a young age it was pretty evident that I was meant to be an engineer. According to my dad, before I was old enough to be in school, I had such an interest in the lawn mower that he had to hold me every time he cut the grass. According to my mom, she knew based on how i would take apart old broken machines (garage door opener, vacuums, old computers). As a kid, both my parents worked full-time positions, which meant I often had to go to dare care. Which I hated. Luckily, my grandfather was a retired carpenter, so I started going to his house instead of daycare. As time went on, he began showing me how to use his different tools and to build furniture. This experience determined that I wanted to be an engineer. I loved designing and building things. Initially I thought I wanted to go into Civil engineering, but eventually realized my passion is computers. One of my favorite projects at MSOE involved what we call "DigiBots". They are little robots controlled by a Intel-FPGAs. Using VHDL and Quartus we programmed the DigiBots to follow a track placed on the ground, drive in different shapes, and avoid objects placed in-front of them. This was the first time I saw how hardware can be controlled with software. Another project involved creating a Single-cycle processor that ran simple ARM machine code. I really liked this project because I learned how computers actually run assembly and machine code.Outside of the classroom, I tutor digital logic, software development and computer architecture. This has taught me how to clearly communicate and describe abstract foreign concepts, keep students engaged in tutoring sessions without making them feel like lectures, and use teamwork so that everyone in the tutoring group is getting the help needed.

Audio Amplification
Project Objective: Amplify audio using op-amp and electric microphone .• Measure the voltage drop across a electric microphone.• Add a capacitor before the microphone to remove any DC voltage, since capacitors become open in DC super position.• Use an op-amp to amplify AC voltage outputted from microphone.• Connect a speaker to output of op-amp so the amplified audio can be played.
Gecko Monitoring And Control System
Project Objective: I have a pet created gecko. In order for a crested gecko to be healthy the humidity and temperature must be in a specific range. Additionally, they require 10-12 hours of light and 12-14 hours of complete darkness. The goal of this project was to monitor humidity, temperature, and automate turning it's light on and off.• Created a custom outlet box to control an electrical outlet using a relay.• Use DHT-11 to monitor temperature and humidity.• Display humidity and temperature on LCD display.• Use an ESP-32 with internet connectivity to control switched outlet.
Rcas Tutor
Tutor 6 hours a week with sessions related to Digital Logic, Software Development, Computer Architecture and Data Structures.• Work closely with students to analyze individual learning styles and needs.• Create a friendly and inviting environment to encourage peer to peer engagement.• Provide extra support with organizational and time management skills.• Attend bi-weekly tutor training meeting accredited by the College Reading & Learning Association.
Singal Cycle Processor
Project Objective: Create a single cycle processor on a Intel FPGA. Process machine code from standard ARMv4 assembly. Display result on hexadecimal displays.▪ Created a top-down diagram for the Fetch, Decode, Execute, Memory, Write-back.▪ Converted logic from diagram into VHDL.▪ Converted ARM assembly code into machine code.▪ Debugged and wrote program to FPGA.
Javafx Image Manipulator
Project Objective: Image manipulator built with JavaFX▪ Open and save modified .jpg, .png, .msoe image files▪ Applies negative, greyscale, red, red-gray filters to image.▪ Ability to draw over image with different colored pens.
