I produce videos for Rutgers University Department of University Communications and Marketing. As the lone multimedia professional in the department, I'm responsible for the entire life cycle of each video, from concept development to execution and post production. I literally do it all, from story boarding to scripting interview questions, setting up lighting, operating cameras and audio equipment, shooting interviews and b-roll, and finally editing each video. I develop communication strategies to ensure our multimedia is aligned with the University's strategic goals and supports the brand. I manage Rutgers social media channels on YouTube and have managed the official RutgersU Instagram and Snapchat platforms. In 2010, my wife and I accomplished our dream of living abroad by moving to South Korea. The experience of living and working in a new culture helped me grow both personally and professionally. Working with foreign co-workers and students, I learned that I can adapt to any situation and excel - even winning 3 national video contests for our school. Living in South Korea also afforded us the opportunity to travel and experience different cultures in Japan, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau, Laos and Thailand.

I scheduled and coordinated large outage projects on-site at Duke Energy power plants in the Cincinnati area. During the last outage alone, I saved my company over $130,000 by identifying unrecognized changes in work scope and submitting/tracking those change orders. Setting up project controls and estimating were also part of my responsibilities.

I worked at the Caterpillar plant in Lafayette validating project plans and updating schedules for their C175 new engine development program. We created critical path reports, tracked metrics, identified overloaded resources and distributed new information to team members.

Originally hired as a videographer, I was quickly promoted and went on to report and anchor for both the sports and news departments at WLFI. My skill as a storyteller was recognized by the Associated Press with their highest award for local sports reporting in the state of Indiana.
