Creative And Content ManagerMml Leisure May 2022 - PresentGlasgow, Scotland, United KingdomThis role fully encompasses all things creative when it comes to social media and marketing content creation. I am a photographer, videographer, editor, graphic designer, digital artist, copywriter, and anything else that is required of me. With the company being in the hospitality industry, my job is to create content that makes us stand out from the competition. This includes graphic design and digital art that is in line with the brand guidelines, but also pushes the envelope, food, drink and product photography, as well as event photography and videography.Within my role, I work closely with the directors and upper management, discussing new ideas and strategies to increase brand awareness, revenue and client engagement. I then ensure we have all the content that is required, it meets the standard expected and track the engagement and success rate of each post. The working environment is very fast paced and ever changing. With this, I need to be very “go with the flow” and stay on my toes, whilst also keeping on top of my time management to make sure I can get everything done on time.Additionally, alongside one of my colleagues, I also manage the social channels for our venues. The key responsibilities of this aspect of my role are implementing a full marketing and social media strategy, managing client engagement and messages, writing compelling and engaging copy, and tracking our growth through analytics, all the while creating and posting the content to ensure the feed is aesthetically pleasing and portrays who we are as a brand. Digital ads and SEO are a huge aspect of this role. We use tools such as the Meta Business Suite and Buffer to manage, track and schedule all of our content and digital ads.

Content CreatorCameron William Boyd Creative Jan 2017 - PresentGlasgow, United KingdomWhen starting my freelance career, I mainly specialised in wedding, portrait, and live music photography. I was very lucky early on to work with some incredible up and coming artists within the Glasgow music scene and photograph upwards of 25 weddings all across Scotland. With photography being my biggest passion and source of income with my freelance work, I have always strived to push myself further and develop new skills to enhance my knowledge base and creativity. Because of this, my work has now evolved into full time content creation, fully encompassing photography, videography, graphic design, digital art, copywriting and social media management.Learning new skills has been fully self-motivated. I have watched countless online tutorials and spent hundreds of hours practicing within my free time. I have to say, it has paid off as I have been doing full time content creation and social media management for just over 3 years now and have been loving every minute of it. I have worked with a number of health and fitness based businesses, a whisky brand, authors, musicians, and most recently moved into the hospitality industry.Since starting my freelance career, I have been forced to improve my time management and organisational skills to ensure I get everything returned to clients within the time frame agreed. My customer service and people skills have also improved significantly.I have also become proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically with Lightroom, Photoshop & Premier Pro. Other softwares I use are ProCreate for digital art, Adobe Rush and Splice for mobile video editing and Illustrator and Canva for design & brand management. For social media management, I use tools such as Buffer, Trello and the Meta Business Suite.

Senior Large Rig PhotographerH Tempest Ltd Mar 2018 - Oct 2021Glasgow, United KingdomMy role as a large rig photographer gave me the incredible experience of travelling all across the UK and Ireland taking photographs. I have been fortunate enough to have taken photographs of groups of up to 2500 people, photographing royalty and celebrities, as well as visiting some of the finest education and military institutes throughout Britain. My role involved me building and dismantling Tempest’s large rig staging, organising groups of up to 2500 people, ensuring they are arranged on the staging safely and in an order that is aesthetically pleasing to ensure the best possible photograph. As well as this, I would set up the camera equipment and take the photographs, all the while, being in open communication with the schools and military organisations, account holders and head office to ensure everything went as smoothly as possible. Additionally to this, I also managed a team of four consisting of myself, a fellow photographer and two photography assistants. This gave me the opportunity to really evolve my managerial, communication and people skills to ensure we all got the most out of our individual roles and enjoy the work we did. -
Personal TrainerGlasgow Life Jun 2014 - Mar 2018Glasgow, Scotland, United KingdomBefore pushing forward with photography, I worked in the fitness industry. I worked as a fitness instructor and personal trainer for a number of different health clubs and associations including PureGym, Nuffield Health and finished my time with Glasgow Life. This role was extremely enjoyable and really helped me develop as a person. As a fitness instructor and personal trainer, I would deliver specific appointments and individual training sessions with our gym members to help them achieve their goals and overcome any issues they may have had. My “speciality” as a personal trainer was mobility and muscle rehab. I developed a huge passion and fascination with the subject and made it my goal to help as many people as possible overcome their injuries and physical barriers. As you would imagine, this role was incredibly customer service orientated as we all wanted to ensure our members had the best possible experience. Additionally, I would deliver fitness classes for up to 50 people, including, but not limited to, functional training classes, group cycle sessions and olympic weightlifting technique sessions. My time in the gym really allowed me to work on my confidence, as well as my communication skills, as I would have to project my voice and instruct everyone on how to carry out each of the exercises as safely, efficiently and correctly as possible to ensure they got the most from their workout and put themselves at the least risk of injury. I would also have to maintain cleanliness in the gym and ensure everything was put in its correct place.
