Remove parts (tear down cars) for proper estimate and repair blueprinting, rebuild cars after proper repairs completed.

Repair and replace parts as written on work orders. Assist the paint dept, with prepping cars and parts as needed. Also perform repairs and paint prep on camp Trailers RV’s and Buses.

I would start the day with opening the shop turning on the lights and air compressor then open up everything and move all the cars out of the shop in an orderly fashion. Remove all scrap metal and cardboard from shop floor area. Take customers home with company courtesy shuttle. Pick up customers cars and drive them back to the shop. I would help the parts department with checking in parts and bringing them to assigned techs. Also was common to retrieve parts from dealerships. typically the last four hours of my day would be working in the shop small repairs and insurance tear downs.

Was required to read work order for repairs conduct proper tear downs of cars. Write supplement sheets for hidden damage and or extra damage not initially noted. Review my progress and supplement sheet with head journey man technician and production manager. One hour a day spent cleaning shop sweeping floors taking out the trash and helping wash cars with the detailer.
