Senior Draftsman (Cad Designer)
Current- Supporting in house manufacture as the lead on all major projects.- Effectively and efficiently liaising with clients to understand, deliver and exceed expectations.- Frequently working to overcome technical challenges that can arise when bringing conceptual projects to life.- Supervising and supporting additional draftspersons, and working with factory staff and management to maintain quality control and efficiency.- Generating 2D/3D CAD modelling and technical drawings for major and minor projects.- Reviewing and validating technical drawings.- Leading technical, manufacturing and production meetings with relevant stakeholders.- Working directly with breakpress and laser cutter operators.- Providing quotations for clients, meeting tight deadlines and working to budgets.- Using Draftsight, Solidworks and AMADA suite software daily.Worked closely with a large company in the Hunter region to review and redesign battery storage solutions and additional products for manufacture, producing 2D/3D files and technical drawings, monitoring manufacture throughout all stages and modifying processes to increase efficiency and lower costs.
