Experience in planned preventative maintenance, breakdown assistance and technical specialities. At Star Refrigeration, I am working towards a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Engineering with a speciality in refrigeration. The call outs I attend are often high-pressure and time-sensitive situations that can lead to huge wastage and financial loss if not dealt with correctly. My role is to work with various components (including compressors, condensers, evaporaters and valves) without further damage. This role has been particularly enjoyable as I have experienced working with a compliance and regulations department.

Fast-paced service environment with the ability to generalise during quieter times. Working at the Barn Owl allowed me to grow my confidence in a positive and welcoming venue. I learned how to approach customer issues with patience and logic, and use my friendly personality to diffuse difficult situations. The managers appreciated my ability to pick up in any department, and even take on the responsibility of takings and tips at the end of the night. Working at the Barn Owl was thoroughly enjoyable and I miss the high energy customer interaction day-in, day-out.
