Graduated from Tech Elevator's Java coding bootcamp. Below is a list of projects I've worked on during the program:• Full Stack Job Search Chatbot - I developed a chatbot to help prepare for and apply to tech positions in an Agile framework. I created a REST API using Java, Spring Boot, Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and tested it with Postman. I used PostgreSQL for the database; verified the JDBC DAO with Integration Testing; utilized Visual Studio for web development; and produced reusable components in the chatbot responses using Vue.js (HTML / CSS / JavaScript). The chatbot can search for job postings, answer user queries, provide company information, send reminder emails, provide practice interview questions, and utilizes automatic voice recognition (ASR) and text-to-speech (TTS).• Money Transfer API - I built a RESTful API for the back end and a command line interface for a financial application resembling Venmo using Java and SQL, with data retrieval using the DAO pattern. I implemented Spring Boot to enable HTTP requests and JSON serialization and deserialization, and verified responses using Postman. Logged-in users can send and request funds to and from other users of the application, and view records of their past transactions.• Flashcard Management Application - I made a desktop application for creating, managing, and taking quizzes with flashcards using OOP principles. I utilized File I/O to enable users to save data, and Java Swing to make a custom GUI engine. I optimized the GUI by implementing a buffered graphic to smoothen the rendering, and increased speed by reducing the number of refresh calls.• Budget Tracking Application - I created a command line interface in Java for budget management and expense calculation within a user-specified timeframe; designed with OOP principles and tested with JUnit. I employed recursive methods to allow budget items to be organized into sub-categories for enhanced UX.
