Why I Became a Financial Advisor I’ve always liked investing. I spent 13 years working as a certified public accountant but becoming an Edward Jones financial advisor was always on my radar. My dad and grandma both worked with Edward Jones financial advisors. My grandmother had only a small portfolio when she started working with Edward Jones, and I saw how her financial advisor was able to help her grow her investments so she could retire comfortably and leave a legacy for her kids.
