- Design, construct, install and maintain a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems, including electronics (analogue and digital) and electrical power.- Set up of experimental test rigs and data acquisition equipment including the use of Labview, PLC or microcontroller (Arduino) programming.- Design PCB's to suit requirements.- Design 3D models to suit requirements using CAD.- Prepare work instructions and safe operating procedures for the operation of electrical and mechanical equipment.- Provide client-focused technical support to facility users including training of and oversight to ensure the correct use of electrical and mechanical equipment.- Support the management of the physical resources of the facility, including procurement, disposal and replacement of assets and equipment.- Comply with health and safety policies, procedures, hazard reporting and safe work practices. Ensuring staff and students working in, or visiting, facilities receive appropriate induction and safety training, and have an awareness of health and safety policies.

-Operate forklift to retrieve stock-General housekeeping-Developed knowledge of stock and corresponding codes for stock replenishment-Oversee tasks performed on the back dock-Communicate with customers and colleagues

Current duties:-Install video cards required for anti-vandal resistant TVs-Prepare customer orders for transport

-Apply electrical knowledge in an industrial environment while providing maintenance on machinery.-Observe maintenance being performed on industrial machinery involved in a sawmill. -Work with other staff to diagnose issues, observe PLC protocols. -Fault finding during breakdowns.-Bench wire a variable speed drive to a three phase motor, with variable speed switch.-Set up PE sensors parameters
