At Packer Fastener I have an internship that has helped me understand real world industry work and the importance of technology in the industry. I will be programming web applications, desktop apps, and even phone applications in the future here.

I am currently employed at the University of Green bay as an Informational Technology Help Desk employee. I have developed major skills that have helped me understand technology further while also keeping me interested withing the technology field. My coworkers and peers teach me more about this job everyday. While working here, I have developed many important characteristics that will help me in the future such as; • Learned work ethic and customer service as well task management and troubleshooting problems• Use remote systems to work with technology across campus• Take phone calls and manage ticket system to track incidents• Rollout new machines using images as well as updated older machines around campus• Learn more about technology each day by working closely with coworkers and peers

Through the Cofrin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, I was sent to Turin, Italy for 3 weeks where I got to develop and work on an app that we called News It. This experience helped me develop major teamwork and communication skills. In addition to working on the development of the app, I was also able to work on the major business aspects as well. We created a Marketing and Business plan as well as traveled to Milan and Rome to ask the public of what they think of our app idea. As development went on, we worked with our mentors to take our ideas and create something useful out of them. I learned that creating products is not about having something useful, but it needs to solve a problem that is already present. Overall this was an amazing experience that also helped me understand how to work with others and make ideas, possibilities.A few specific items I worked on include: ● Traveled to Italy to study abroad and team up with other students from around the world to create a new business idea from the ground up● Gained experience working with mentors at EIA for Software Design and Business Administration● Learned valuable information and proper work ethic while working with a small group

While I worked at MPSD (Manitowoc Public School District) I was in the Youth Apprenticeship program that helped me further understand technology and working with a company. While working at MPSD I worked directly with teachers and students to help with software and hardware problems. In addition, I took classes at LTC that helped me develop my understanding of technology even further. My experience working at MPSD gave me that extra push and understanding of what it takes to work as in the Informational Technology field. Some specific items I worked on and with include:● Worked with groups and individuals to assist users directly with technology related issues● Created and organized tickets to stay within schedule of task due dates● Worked with both hardware and software to fix problems with school technology● Learned proper work ethic and customer service as well task management and troubleshooting problems● Translate highly technical information into easy to understand information for other users● Took courses that follow the A+ certification courses at LTC for Youth Apprentice
