An accomplished leader with extensive experience in both technical and program functions, I have a track record of delivering results in business and engineering domains. An effective communicator, I am just as comfortable presenting to corporate leadership as I am one-on-one coaching early career staff. Results driven with a focus on efficiency, I am not afraid to challenge ingrained norms, streamline process, and lead the team through transformational changes. I spent 8 years living in the United States and working at Textron Systems Corporation where I grew a strong and high performing aircraft design and development group, including piloting the Agile workflow and management methodology within hardware engineering.An active and engaging leader, I bring enthusiasm and action-oriented drive to all teams I am part of. I am an established team builder and truly enjoy coaching and mentoring. My leadership style is rooted in trust and transparency, and I have a proven track record of being able to get things done. I am just as effective leading via influence as via direct means. Diversity and inclusion are a part of my core values, and cultural fit is extremely important to me. I firmly believe that the most diverse teams are the highest performing ones. I have been an effective ally for over a decade at Textron Systems, successfully increasing the diversity of all my teams and growing the next generation of leaders. I was a founding board member of the Fusion LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group. As an effective written and verbal communicator, I am comfortable interfacing with all levels of the organisation. I am strong public speaker who effectively reads the rooms and tailors the message for each unique audience. I am regularly invited to guest lecture at universities around the country and present at trade shows and conferences. I gained an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business in 2020, and have a first class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Technology from Monash University. Outside of work I enjoy cooking, photography, and playing the Scottish bagpipes where I have competed at the world championships, and spending time with my wife and daughters.
