As Head of Program Management for Textron Systems Australia, responsibilities include oversight and coordination of programmatic activities, both internal and external facing, as well as new business activities. In this role I am also leading the organisation through a Program Management transformation to improve execution quality and efficiency. Thus far the updates have reduced the likelihood of program cost divergence by over 80%. Led cross-functional, multi-national team in Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) development, qualification, and transition to production, including leading the definition, development, and Transition To Production of the US Army’s Future Tactical Aerosonde Hybrid Quadrotor UAS as the de facto Chief Engineer. This involved coordinating and facilitating work across multiple functions, multiple locations, on tight timelines and budgets. I also successfully interfaced with external and internal customers during domestic and international pursuit and capture activities for the product line, demonstrating an aptitude for quickly developing strong and effective relationships with current and future customers. I continued to identify top talent and develop it into the next generation of leaders. I am especially proud that one of my long term mentees, and someone that I continue to be an ally for, became my successor as Air Segment Product Lead. I have a true passion for people development.

As the Air Segment Product Lead I was responsible for leading the design, development, test and qualification, transition to production and ongoing engineering support of the Aerosonde Unmanned Aerial System (UAS). Combining technical aptitude with strong leadership, communication and time management skills, I was responsible for the successful completion of multi-million-dollar projects, leading teams that spanned multiple countries. I was promoted at an accelerated rate compared to peers; and continue to be a part of Textron's High Potential talent development program.Day-to-day, I led a multi-disciplinary team of engineering and operational staff across the full spectrum of product development, from concept design, through System Test and Evaluation, and on to Transition To Production. I pioneered the use of the Agile workflow and JIRA environment within Hardware engineering, and architected and matured a number of the advanced design and analysis tools now in use on multiple product development programs. I relocated from Melbourne, Australia in 2012 in order to take on this role.

• Senior Systems Engineer for the Aerosonde UAV in Australia. Conducted the sizing, aerodynamic configuration and performance analysis of the first generation Aerosonde Mk4.7 UAV, subsequently grown into the benchmark in its class.• Managed a cross-functional team across multiple successful flight test series.• Developed an updated Configuration Management system which streamlined product and part management, and allowed for efficient integration with the parent company’s procedures and processes.

My responsibilities as an Aerospace Engineer at Aerosonde included designing subsystems for Air Vehicles, conducting aircraft performance analysis and acting as an AVO for a number of flight programs, both R&D and commercial.
