-Work in contract roles for various clients to develop and advise on marketing strategies. -During a six-month contract as the Marketing Manager for a start-up ranch brokerage company, I developed and implemented marketing strategies and ensured all materials aligned with the brand identity. In this role, I oversaw a team of marketing and creative professionals and edited all materials produced by the team. I created blog posts, press releases, and other forms of articles and forums.-I also worked for an agency as a Community Manager, where helped manage the content calendar to ensure consistent community management among several clients amid major campaigns where an average post garnered a few hundred comments. In this role, I monitored comments and messages and drove audiences to engage through calls to action. I tracked and reported on community metrics and KPIs to assess engagement and sentiment.

• Reported on various beats including K-12 and higher education, city and county government, and COVID-19 news. • Balanced daily reporting with investigative and enterprise stories. My work included an investigative series called "Troubled kids, troubled system," which focused on longstanding issues with private alternative adolescent treatment programs. The series led to new laws that increased oversight of such programs and bolstered protections for youth. It also won a number of awards, was a finalist in the Scripps Howard Awards and received an honorable mention in the Dart Awards for Excellence in Coverage of Trauma. • During the COVID-19 pandemic, I used a federal database to uncover the largest known COVID-19 outbreak among nursing homes in Montana. I also requested complaints made to the local health department and spoke to staff at the facility who said the nursing home could have done more to protect its residents.• In another series called "Education and the path to prosperity" supported by a fellowship from the Education Writer’s Association, I examined the role higher education plays in upward economic mobility for Montana’s students.
