Assist lawyers in investigating the facts of their cases and preparing for trial. Interns’ duties include locating witnesses, conducting interviews, obtaining written statements, performing criminal background checks, reviewing crime scenes, serving requests and subpoenas, preparing trial exhibits, and possibly testifying in court.

Effectively organized and manged the the development, promotion and tracking of the Carbon Fund Committee projects and activities. This includes but is not limited to monitoring $100,000+ budget, managing all stages of outreach, developing interactive workshops, collaborating with UC Santa Cruz Climate Manger to create carbon monitoring matrix, and.

Worked closely with the Sustainability Office Manager and senior administrators to implement and lead projects to reduce UCSC's greenhouse gas emissions. Developed and chaired the Carbon Fund, a funding committee for energy efficient projects. Coordinated UCSC’s first national energy competition. Collaborated with other UC campuses to research and develop.

Assisted with the creation of a five-year budget, incorporating sustainable purchasing, potential spending and opportunities to increase revenue. Served on hiring committee for the Assistant Director of Employer Relations position; interviewed and selected top candidates. Acted as a concierge by coordinating the use of conference rooms for diverse student.

Worked with legislative analysts from diverse backgrounds on national and international environmental policy research. Assisted all levels of staff on groundbreaking projects related to National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

Reported to School Board member, Ben Allen (Student Regent, 2006-2007). Completed research and wrote reports on a variety of subjects such as benefits of green jobs and investigated benefits of a parcel tax. Investigated news that would interest or pertain to the school district, via the internet, and briefed representatives.
