Managing the Request for Tender (RFT) for a state-wide Cyber Security Operations Centre for the Department of Health and Human Services and 24 participating health services in the Victorian Public Health Sector (VPHS). The objectives of the RFT were three-fold:• establish the Head Contract for the delivery of a cybersecurity managed service, which will deploy and support an enhanced Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) solution, with follow-on deployment of the vSOC into production across a multi-tenanted environment.• provide flexibility in contract terms and conditions for additional services, that may be added later by the department, to be integrated into the service delivery model, further enhancing the overall offering to the VPHS.• negotiate the facility in the Head Contract for 24 health services to leverage core managed and professional services, delivered by the service provider. The Purchase Order Contract (POC) defines the contractual relationship between the respective health service and the service provider, with the department acting as contract manager.• The SOC utilises the LogRhythm NextGen platform as its underlying Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system. Requirements for the SOC service were derived from cyber security principles that align with the Australian Government Information Security Manual’s (ISM) risk management framework, which itself is derived from the NIST framework.

Delivering major “Internet of Things” projects across the three main Melbourne campuses, involving the integration of LAN, WAN and AV services in both Greenfield and Brownfield sites. ITS components of the projects’ value ranged from $3.5 million to $8 million. Includes Business Case and RFT for delivery of diverse path 10GB OS2 fibre across entire City campus, as part of RMIT’s flagship project, New Academic Street – a multi-year, generational change to the real estate and technology assets of RMIT. Managing Vendor selection process via RMIT’s Strategic Sourcing & Procurement processes to maximise value and return to the organisation.

Transformation Programme for Wintel Architecture. Managed eight streams of project work, covering the major transformational effort across major information systems, involving 3 project managers and a staff of 16. The two year programme covered whole-of-fleet Server Virtualisation, Data Centre Enablement, EAI Migration, Regional Office Performance Improvement and OS and Active Directory Upgrade.
