I started out right out of high school the goal was becoming a first gen college graduate with a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. It was the direction I wanted to go at the time. Fast forward a semester and lack of motivation for the end goal of the degree kicked in. Just not what I wanted anymore for me but felt social pressures and family pressures to succeed. I took a year off to join the Americorps NCCC, a federal volunteer program that allowed me to go out and help those who, within the United States, where asking for the help. I got to help hurricane victims with housing and clean up. Worked with the forestry service to better the environment, and even at a kids camp during the winter to help rebuild trails for them. During that year program I found my passion for accounting and finance. This lead to a whole new invigorated mindset of I can do this and further my education to succeed. My goal was to help those fiscally or educate them to make sure they can better their financial knowledge. I have achieve an Associates Degree in Accounting within a year and a half at Rochester Community and Technical College and now perusing a Bachelors degree in Finance at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (Online). I have the drive and desire to do my best and will ask the hardest question of "why". I have worked at a small CPA's firm as a Junior Accountant and now I'm starting at RSM US LLP for a corporate experience. I believe that is the key and I want to learn a lot.
