As a Peer Mentor at Colorado School of Mines, I helped facilitate the successful transition of approximately 25 first-year students into the university community. I co-taught a section of CSM101, a First Year Success Seminar course, where I provided ongoing support and guidance to students throughout their first semester. My responsibilities included assisting students with academic resources, helping them navigate university life, and fostering a sense of community within the class. Drawing on my own experience as a student, I offered insights and advice on how to succeed both academically and socially at Mines. Through this role, I developed strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills, all while playing an integral part in creating a supportive environment for new students.

As a Machine Shop Assistant at Colorado School of Mines, I facilitated the completion of over 100 educational and personal projects per semester within the Colorado School of Mines machine shop. I offered expertise in machining and fabrication processes, including the operation of CNC and manual mills, lathes, and other manufacturing equipment. I served as a resource for students, providing guidance on CAM/CAD applications for CNC operations and offering insights on manufacturing and technical design. My role allowed me to ensure the quality and precision of student projects while developing my own skills in technical problem-solving and mentoring.

During my internship, I contributed to the development of the innovative "Split Stewart Platform" for spacecraft capture. I completed the mechanical and electrical assembly of the V.1 engineering model and assisted in testing to demonstrate its capabilities. My responsibilities included mechanical assembly using CAD drawings, creating custom hardware to ensure the robotic system was securely rigid, and diagnosing, troubleshooting, and improving the system based on any issues that arose. I also performed SMD assembly for motor-driver circuit boards and created wire harnesses under IPC standards. Additionally, I utilized SolidWorks to integrate lessons learned from previous robotic systems into newer iterations, driving continuous improvement.
