As Communications Adviser to one of the largest General Practices in Far North Queensland, Cameron's role was to improve Omega Health Medical Centre's profile in the region and highlight the medical centre's strengths to the local community.In his time with the company, Jackson started-up and produced the Medical Centre's magazine, 'OmegaHealth', and increased the company's social media reach by more than 10 times.Jackson was also the Communications Adviser for the company's specialist medical facility, Cairns Skin Centre - managing the creation of its branding, design and publicity.

Jackson helped to develop the campaign communication plan that led the Hon. Warren Entsch MP to a resounding victory in the 2016 Australian Federal Election - designing and producing campaign material, and aiding Entsch throughout the election with media strategy and publicity.While Entsch held office, Jackson wrote and edited his speeches, media content and and other material and provided strategic communication advice to allow the Member of Parliament to better publicise his messages to the electorate.

In his time at Dental Health Services Victoria, Jackson designed a system to communicate internal messages to hundreds of the agency's staff across the state - using screensavers.Jackson was the lead photographer and desktop publisher on the agency's newsletter and helped to develop the agency's communication strategies and crisis communication plans.

Jackson started up and oversaw a monthly electronic newsletter for this agency that helped staff and members of the public to better understand the regulations governing the state's building industry.His previous experience advising other government departments made Jackson a key communications adviser to the agency's executive staff - training them to manage media inquiries better.Jackson also helped to produce communication material and the strategy for multiple campaigns by this agency educating the general public about matters such as pool safety and bushfire preparedness.

The ABCC is an Australian Government agency that makes sure companies in Australia's building industry comply with the country's industrial relations laws.In this role, Jackson was responsible for managing the agency's public image. He worked with journalists across the country to get positive media coverage for the ABCC on topics such as successful court cases, contract issues, and new laws affecting employers and employees in the building industry.

Jackson was employed for just a short time with the Australia's Southern Cross Austereo Network's news team because he was offered a more permanent position with the Fair Work Ombudsman (see other entry on this page)At Triple M and SAFM in Adelaide, Jackson wrote news bulletins for the station and recorded and produced the traffic content.

In his time as news presenter for both SunFM and its 'sister station' 8HA, Jackson won the award for Best News Presenter and was a finalist for Best Commercial Producer at the 2010 Australian Commercial Radio Awards.He presented and produced a daily music show for the station, as well as producing the audio for all commercials and station promotions - involving casting and recording voice-over artists, and using software such as Adobe Audition, Audacity and Pro Tools to edit and master audio content.Jackson took the initiative to refresh the online presence of both radio stations - creating the new branding material for them, and managing the production of new websites and social media channels.

The NT Department of Health is the Northern Territory Government's health agency, which manages all of the Territory's public hospitals and medical centres - including the specialists, doctors, nurses, and other medical and non-medical professionals.One of Jackson's major responsibilities during his time with this Department was managing communication with national and international media outlets during crisis including: the the assassination attempt on East Timorese President Jose Ramos Horta; an explosion on board a boat off Ashmore Reef that injured dozens of refugees; and H1N1 Influenza (Swine Flu) pandemic of 2009.Jackson's other roles with the Department included writing speeches for the Chief Executive Officer, networking with journalists to promote the Department's messages to the public, and producing health-related editorial for newspapers and magazines across the country.

Jackson brought his experience in the broadcast industry to this community radio station where he hosted the weekday breakfast show, and led the production of a new station 'sound' through new radio imaging, content and promotions.

At the time Jackson was with 104.1 Territory FM, it was the #1 rating radio station in Darwin. He was the producer of the weekday, state-syndicated talk-back show "Territory Talk" - managing guests on the program, and keeping the show running to-time.Jackson was approached by the station manager to host a nightly music show, and then a weekend 80s music show, and then a Saturday morning music/talk show that was syndicated to other affiliate stations across the Territory.

During his time with the ABC, Jackson assisted with the production of the television station's flagship, nightly news bulletin, it's weekly current affairs show, and with the station's coverage of sports and elections. His roles ranged from vision switching and camera operation, to sound mixing, auto-cue operation, script editing, and video editing.
