Cameron Johnson is an accomplished executive with a proven track record in private equity owned businesses. Currently serving as the Vice Chair of the Board for Nucleus Network, Cameron previously held the position of CEO from 2014 to June 2023. During his tenure, Cameron successfully led the sale of the company on two separate occasions to Private Equity Firms, Crescent Capital Partners and Blackstone Private Equity. Cameron joined Nucleus Network in 2014 and led the local and international commercialization of the organization, including comprehensive operational restructuring and implementation of a global business development strategy. In 2018, Cameron collaborated with Lazard Financial Advisory which resulted in a $100m exit to Crescent Capital Partners. From 2018 to 2022, he lead M&A activities in both Australia and the USA. During this time, he further refined the operating model, implementing various software platforms to enhance operational efficiencies, data analytics capabilities, and reporting functionalities. Despite the significant expansion of the executive team, Cameron continued to lead business development efforts globally until Crescent Capital's exit in 2022. The organization was acquired by Blackstone Private Equity for $700m through Morgan Stanley. Prior to his role at Nucleus Network, Cameron served as the inaugural CEO of Linear Clinical Research, based in Perth, Western Australia. This position was created after $9.5 million in funding was received from the Western Australian Government to establish an early-phase clinical trials organization. From 2010 to 2014, Cameron built the business from the ground up, overseeing the development of physical infrastructure, financial operating model, business development, recruitment of personnel, and implementation of standard operating procedures and systems. Throughout his career, Cameron has held various senior roles in other organizations, and he has lived and worked in the United Kingdom and the USA. He possesses extensive work experience in Europe, the USA, and Asia.
