Recently I have turned my hobby into a business venture by offering my services as a photographer. In the past, I have worked with tourism companies such as CEDA New Zealand and provided my images for tourism and information brochures. I have also worked with footwear brand Vivobarefoot to offer product photography. More recently I have been offering dog photography sessions and have built my own website to attract clients and provide a portfolio. This venture has required a great deal of self-motivation, time management, and organisation. I have learned how to attract clients and provide excellent service.

My duties as supervisor included ensuring day-to-day operations in the cafe ran smoothly as well as organising my team to provide efficient and reliable customer service. Other responsibilities this role required included keeping track of stock, ordering additional stock from suppliers, and keeping track of costs. The independent nature of the cafe meant that I was continuously in communication with the owner of the business which allowed me to have input into ideas for promotions and changes in the menu as well as getting to witness what goes on behind the scenes in order to run a successful business in this sector.
