I was asked to return to ARC after successfully opening a profitable operation for Natsteel on the Sunshine Coast. The Just 4 Trade Company of ARC was a retail branch selling reinforcing steel and general tools to the trade. I left Just 4 Trade after an illness which was ongoing and enabled me to put some time into my other business interests.

I put a proposal forward to the Singapore management to establish the NatSteel Business brand and service centre on the Sunshine Coast.The branch was developed and established by myself from past experience with the industry. After employing a great team, we strived to obtain targets and goals set out in the business plan developed in conjunction with the Singapore management.This branch grew to be a healthy profitable branch for the company. After leaving the company NatSteel's direction changed and all Queensland branches ceased trading.

Initially the company started at Kawana in 1986 as Nu-Cast Steel then grew to be incorporated in the Neumann Group of Companies then changed name to Neumann Steel. With my immediate family, we grew the operation to 21 staff at Caloundra. Further we grew areas and opened Neumann Steel in Caboolture and Hervey Bay. This was a good experience growing these operations from nothing to profitable businesses for the Neumann family. It was during this time, the reinforcing devision was headed by the late Robert Neumann....
