Constituency Assistant
Current- Aided MLA Sturdy in researching and writing legislation that could help establish First Nations representation on provincial transit commissions.- Writes letters to Ministers on issues relevant to stakeholders and tracks responses.- Advocates for and assists constituents in their dealings with the provincial government, either directly or through appropriate referrals. - Supporting the MLA’s work within their communities through community outreach and liaison. - Providing information to constituents about provincial government legislation and policies, including the MLA and government’s position on provincial issues. - Responsible for land-use enquiries. This took the form of coordinating with FLNRORD and other ministries to get answers for constituents on a range of requests.
