As an Operations Controller, I am responsible for coordinating and managing multiple staff and aircraft ensuring the safety of all flights, and maintaining efficient operations.- Working closely with pilots, ground crew, and other aviation professionals to ensure a seamless flow of operations.- Managing multiple tasks simultaneously and have a keen eye for detail, allowing me to spot and resolve potential issues before they escalate.- Sending and detailing reports such as movement messages and delay reports to ensure airlines operations are kept up to date with progress on each and every flight and why potential delays have occurred during a turnaround.- Conducting audits to ensure optimum handling of each aircraft is carried out and to highlight areas in which there is room for potential improvement.

Operations Controller Assist- Assisting the Operations Controller working both early shift and night shift to ensure 24 hour cover is provided to maintain a smooth operation. - Allocation of staff to make sure each and every flight has the correct staff to achieve an optimum turnaround and minimise chances of delays. - Working closely with third parties such as fuelers, airside operations, Wheelchair assistance to make sure each aircraft is receiving the services they require. - Detailing delay reports and sending to airlines so we can establish exactly what the route cause of delay was and how this can be avoided or minimised going forward.

Prepare airline specific paper work, including loading instructions, load sheets and flight plans. Run the turnaround process of aircraft ensuring a safe environment for both staff and passengers when out on the ramp. Communication is key in this role, this involves Liaising with Front of house staff to receive passenger and baggage figures, calling the fuelers to request fuelling services and the amount of fuel for uplift. Booking wheelchair assistance for passengers requiring wheelchairs and constant communication to the ops controller on shift to ensure they are aware of the progress of the turnaround and of any delays which may take place. I’ve received training on many airlines during my time as an aircraft dispatcher, these include, Brussels airlines, Qatar airways, Hainan Airlines, Air Canada, Aerlingus / Emerald, Wizz, Ryan Air, SAS, Tui, Norwegian, Aegean, Transavia, Eurowings, Finnair, Atlantic and Turkish Airlines.
