Cameron has over 20 years’ experience in Leadership, People and Program Management, Stakeholder Management and Traffic and Transport Engineering gained from working in both the private and public sector in South East Queensland and the United Kingdom. He has high level proficiencies in the core traffic engineering disciplines, particularly, road operations, traffic management and traffic control planning, project management, traffic and transport master planning, and event management planning. He also has experience in disaster management and planning, emergency response planning, local area traffic management, the planning of public transport and active transport (cycling and pedestrian) systems, and project related stakeholder management. Along with his extensive skills in traffic engineering and transport planning, Cameron also has significant experience in people management, leadership and program delivery having performed a number of senior management and director roles within the Department of Transport and Main Roads. In his current role as the Regional Manager (Operations) role he was responsible for the successful delivery of the Metropolitan Region 2018/19, 2019/20, and 2020/21 Metropolitan Region Operations program of work which had a value of close to $40M each year.He has also been involved in numerous multidisciplinary teams undertaking significant infrastructure planning, design and delivery projects, undertaking the role of senior user from a road operations perspective. To complement his project work Cameron also performed a role as Director of the multi-agency Transport Coordination Centre, during the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast. Outside of TMR Cameron actively uses his extensive management skills and experience by volunteering his time in leadership roles in various educational and community organisations. He is currently the Chairman of the Queen of Apostles, Catholic School Board, has previously undertaken leadership roles with Oxfam Australia as well as undertaking a leadership role for the Australia Electoral Commission at the most recent Federal Election. Cameron’s experience across a broad range of disciplines in the infrastructure delivery and operations area are complemented by strong leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement and program delivery skills, all of which provide clients and key stakeholders with an excellent opportunity to achieve desired outcomes whenever he is involved.
