Since being hired as a Project Coordinator back in September of 2004, I have worked on seven projects with Bird. The first project was CFB North Bay, where we built a support facility for the Canadian Military (DND). Next, was in London, Ontario building a maintenance and dental facility for DND. From there, I went onto building two Walmart's in Stouffville and Wasaga Beach. Afterwards, it was back to DND Projects, where I first relocated to Nova Scotia to complete the Shearwater X, Y & Z helicopter hangars. This was made up of three buildings with two of the buildings housing a first ever in-floor fire suppression system. Once that was completed, I then relocated to Trenton, Ontario to complete the largest single contract issued by Defence Construction Canada called Hangar One. This building was constructed to maintain the new C117 aircraft purchased by DND. I then moved on to build the Maple Leaf Foods processing plant in Hamilton, Ontario. It is a 500,000 sq.ft facility with state of the art processing equipment for the production of their big seller, hot dogs. My last project as PM was the Canon Canada Headquarters in Brampton. This was a exciting and challenging project. This state of the art building includes a five story atrium, high end finishes, and a high-tech showroom.
