I started my IT journey in High School back in 2005 taking a Computer Engineering course at the Area Vocational School. From there I got some college under my belt and worked as a Lead Technician in my hometown of Russellville, AR. In 2013 I needed a change and moved to Wichita, KS where I started a short lived career as a Corrections Officer. After several years it was apparent that Law Enforcement was not what I really wanted to do. With the uptick of Cyber attacks and the new need for Cybersecurity professionals I went back to school and obtained my Associates Degree in Computer Technology and Network Administration where I also obtained an A+ and Net+ Certification. I started back in IT working for a local Non-Profit organization where I gained valuable experience in modern IT and Security. After a few years there I found myself working for a Kansas based MSP that soon merged with a company of similar size forming what today is one of the best MSPs in the Midwest. Based on my combined experience in Law Enforcement, Security, the Military and modern IT I was hired as a Security Analyst where I now perform SOC operations. Soon after getting this position I obtained my Security+ certification and am now studying for my CySA+ and Pentest+. In my spare time I enjoy learning about and practicing the enumeration and exploiting of vulnerable systems. I have participated in several CTF's and am improving my skills every day. My current goal is to obtain my OSCP in the next 2 years. My ultimate goal is to obtain my CISSP and continue to be a leader in the Cybersecurity field. From 2008 to 2016 I served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. My MOS was 0352 (Anti-Tank Assaultman)
