As a Marketing and Communications Manager for the Denver Metro Chamber, I am responsible for project management and delegation within the marketing and communications department. Using our management tool, Monday.com, it is my duty to take incoming projects and requests and make sure deadlines and deliverables are met. I am also responsible for communications projects and event needs for the Chamber's government affairs team and sales department, as well as media relations for the Chamber and its affiliate organizations. Most of these duties revolve around developing strategic sales acquisition campaigns and email marketing through Pardot, social media content planning and analysis, media advisory and press release distribution and creation, event promotion, and more.

Some of my biggest duties at the Chamber are to manage and executive communications strategies for the government affairs team, Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation, and Denver Metro Small Business Development Center. This involves creating email and social campaigns to promote events, important updates, and newsletters, using Pardot to distribute these communications. I handle media relations for the Chamber and its affiliates, creating press releases, media advisories, and various outreach, using Meltwater to monitor engagement and media relations. I also provide event and department support by drafting scripts, copy and statements reflecting the Chamber's stances on business issues.

My main job at AB Litigation was to handle the scheduling of litigation events, meaning I coordinated 20+ litigation events and conference room rentals daily. I constantly communicated with clients to organize services while under pressure and deadlines. By managing our database containing 10,000+ firms, attorneys, and clients, we were scheduling events and services across the United States. I also provided technical support and assistance on Zoom depositions and calls to ensure there were no technical difficulties.

As a Communications and Outreach Coordinator, it was my job to run the online presence of the organization and spread information about our causes through face-to-face interactions with the community. I attended and assisted in the execution of events that are meant to educate community members, legislators, or other organizations on farmworker, immigrant, and environmental rights. Additional duties of mine were to act as a volunteer coordinator and recruiter, create email marketing campaigns, and write articles and content for our social media and blogs.

I served with the AmeriCorps NCCC southwest region, based in Aurora, CO. I traveled to different locations for 6-12 weeks at a time, working with multiple non-profit organizations to address community identified needs. We focused on environmental conservation, youth development, economic opportunities, healthy futures, and disaster relief. During my term, I worked with teams of 9-12 in Safford, AZ; Alvin, TX; and Durango, CO.

As a GSR, my duty was to speak to customers entering the store and handle any sales or questions they had. I also took on a management position, training and introducing new employees to the job, and helping them when handling a difficult situation with a guest. Additionally, I would help distribute/deliver orders, decorate cakes, and use Microsoft Word and Excel to design decorations or organize mass orders.

I began at the Sandspur as a freelance writer that would contribute weekly articles covering events and topics from my college. Later I was promoted to Copy Editor/Section Editor, where I acted as a leader over a group of writers to help create article ideas and edit final articles. Each week I collaborated with other section editors to come up with article ideas covering student life, academics, A&E, and opinion. The ideas were then delegated by me onto my section writers, and I would provide them with contacts and insight into how an article should be created. I would then edit the final product and submit them to the newspaper.

Rollins College

I gather with the rest of the staff weekly to collaborate on ideas for articles in our college newspaper. My articles have covered broad topics such as the Safe Campus Act and student/faculty reactions, student employment on campus and school events.

As an intern at Index, I had the opportunity to speak with and interview people around the world, specifically in the Middle East and South Asia, about free speech oppression in their homes. Every week I wrote articles discussing oppression, summarizing events, or tracking attacks on journalists throughout the world. Additionally, I helped organize files for the company's new website, collaborated with coworkers for article ideas, and researched different political figures and governments to get an understanding of unique oppression instances.

My responsibilities included writing articles weekly, editing incoming articles from the other writers, collaborating with the Editor in Chief, conducting interviews and handling questions from the rest of the staff. Additionally, I acted as a spokesperson for the organization at community events, and worked to recruit for new writers, editors, and photographers.
