I am a recent graduate of the BFA program with a concentration in the Graphic Design, at the University of Georgia. During the course of my academic career, I have grown in my design abilities and look forward to improving those skills and expanding my portfolio through my continued course work, current related job positions, and opportunities presented to me in the future. Having held positions in art and design for UGA Relay for Life and graphic design within the marketing department for UGA Recreational Sports, I have been able to get my feet wet into my intended area of focus and look forward to diving in headfirst in the future. In each of these roles respectively, I have had to create event promotion graphics and signage while also managing marketing design requests from various divisions within the Rec Sports department. I have learned through my past experience in competing in art competitions, having to have first place quality work in short turn arounds, that I am a very deadline driven, and tend to create my best work when confronted with a ticking clock. Along with discovering this about myself, I have also found that I am very much a team player, that enjoys working alongside others and can and will take the initiative to lead the group to meet and exceed expected outcomes. Whether working on academic, extracurricular, or other projects, I continue to prove and improve my skills and look to continue this pattern as I move forward.
