Since starting at WKC Spatial I have had the opportunity to develop my skills as a student surveyor by working along side a great team of surveyors. The majority of work that I am involved in at Midland Surveys is Engineering Surveying based at Perth Airport. Here we have multiple jobs that include grid set outs, bolt set outs, column verticality and structural set outs. I have been lucky enough to go out on my own jobs and complete contour and feature and bore surveys. From this I have had the opportunity to use PowerCivil and learn how to process the data collected in the field.While working at WKC Spatial I was asked to work at our sister company Warren King & Co, where I was in Queensland working on the GLNG Pipeline from Roma to Gladstone, during my summer break at Curtin University. This gave me a great insight into the surveying industry and also a look at a type of surveying I had not yet done.

While working at Asphar I was involved in numerous survey activities from construction, engineering, cadastral and control surveys. During this time I was lucky enough to spend a couple of months in Port Hedland were I was involved in the set out of control points for the Roy Hill Project.
