A design technology leader and innovator, Cameron comes from a background of over 10 years of highway/roadway, drainage and transit design; delivering projects from design to construction. As the Data Acquisition & Digital Delivery Director for the Transportation Business Group, he is responsible for the development & use of innovative and forward-thinking implementation of project delivery technologies to increase project efficiencies. Cameron uses his background in BIM to integrate digital delivery across the entire project lifecycle for connected BIM while incorporating Reality capture for Digital twins and integration for Asset management. Cameron leads a variety of training and implementation of these products & workflows throughout some of HDR's largest Mega Projects, creating new ways to better serve HDR’s clients.Serving as the Digital Delivery Lead for the $1.95B LAX Automated People Mover (APM) Project, Cameron’s responsibilities included the oversight of 250 modelers across 37 unique companies and over 28 offices, blending over 90 architectural models and 60 civil models to meet contractual LOD requirements for use in 4D Phasing, 5D Estimating, As-built and O&M use cases. Being HDR’s largest BIM project in 2019 and one of the largest BIM projects in the nation, the digital delivery strategy employed on LAX APM has been featured at multiple industry conferences and publications. Additionally, Cameron currently serves as the Digital Delivery Lead of the Ontario Line Technical Advisory program. This is $10.9 billion subway project including 15 stations & 16km of track slated to support 400,000 people daily. HDR will be leading 400+ Designers, across multiple companies with over 300 models from Architecture, tunneling, elevated Guideways, existing and proposed utilities, Civil Site Improvements, etc.Cameron’s commitment to efficiency and workflow process improvement have allowed for design technology standards that have been implemented nationally throughout HDR (& industry piers) creating a more efficient and productive workplace.Cameron was named a finalist in 2020 for the Autodesk International Innovator of the Year Award, honoring an architecture, engineering and construction practitioner who is reimagining the design and construction practice through the use of technology.
