- Full time job serving coffee where I developed a strong interest in speciality coffee and gained a great appreciation for working as part of a local community, building relationships with customers.- After lockdown began, I was given the opportunity to start a podcast for the roastery: Organising interviews with people working in the specialty coffee industry, recording interviews then editing and processing raw audio into finished, structured episodes. Currently 13 episodes available.

- I work as part of a close-knit team to successfully run events and evening partiesfor a variety of professional clients and hotel customers.- Teamwork is crucial in the setup and running of these events where effectivedelegation is encouraged and attention to detail is crucial.- The high level of intuition I already possess is being further developed as I amoften entrusted to work without direction, using my own experience and initiative.- I ensure that stock is maintained, glasses are being collected and cleaned and anyadditional needs of customers and clientele are being addressed with enthusiasm.

During a small period of last year when I was between jobs, I decided to offer up my spare time by beginning to volunteer with a nearby Oxfam music store. I quickly found that this was a position that was perfectly suited to my interests and skills and even after starting my following paid employment I have still set aside morning throughout my week to spend in the shop. I have largely taken responsibility for identifying and selling of potentially high value items online through eBay. Writing up an advert for them requires care and research identifying the particular release and year of production and finding background information for the description. Identifying potentially valuable items requires pooling and sharing knowledge between the very insightful people I volunteer with and I take great pleasure in contributing towards this. The physical media needs to be scrutinised for flaws and marks and I will work through the unclean records in batches cleaning them and restoring them to their former glory.

- I answered inbound calls from customers who had interest in our network and wereseeking further information. I identified the customers’ needs and priorities andsubsequently made recommendations whilst promoting additional benefits.- Within every conversation a high level of confidence had to be established. Ideveloped my oral presentation abilities and learned how to deliver with convictionand confidence.

- Responsible for maintaining high levels of stock on the store shelves. Communication was important within this role.- Ensured that shop floor was clean and tidy and that goods were displayed neatly and correctly. - Worked as part of a team to achieve ambitious store targets. The company had a large focus on teamwork providing numerous training courses which could then be implemented in everyday work.
