Representing UBC and providing prospective students the opportunity to better understand campus life and academic opportunities at UBC. I lead groups of students from every continent around UBC, answering challenging questions, and ensuring all gain a complete understanding of student life. We transitioned to entirely online work (COVID19) during which I led virtual tours and gained an understanding of working remotely as well as hosting virtual events.

Masaka, Uganda

A full time researcher as part of a UBC Project, aimed at ensuring sustainable livelihoods in rural Uganda. I focused my research on rainfall patterns and collection, using econometric analyses to determine the most effective methods of mitigating risks surrounding lack of access to water. My research forms part of the ongoing project at Tekera. I won the "Centre for Community Engaged Learning ISL Award" for this work.

Represented Edmonton Youth aged 13-23. Ensured engagement among Edmonton's youth and addressed their concerns at city council. I brought forward two key policy recommendations to city council. One of which I acted as lead author and presenter: A motion asking the City of Edmonton to write the Provincial government of Alberta requesting a lowering of the municipal voting age to 16. The motion passed in Edmonton's City Council. Furthermore, I organized and hosted multiple events throughout the city of Edmonton, such as the "compost-drive" to raise awareness for community composting infrastructure.
