Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM), is undertaking a Project known as the City Loop Fire and Safety Upgrade Project - Stage 1. As part of this project, BMD Industrial has upgraded the fire hydrant systems at the three MURL stations (Flagstaff, Melbourne Central and Parliament) and install a new fire hydrant systems throughout the four MURL tunnels and stations.

Port Capacity Project - Road And Services Package

Project Value - $80 Million Client: Port of Melbourne Corporation As part of the $1.6 billion project to expand capacity at the Port of Melbourne, BMD Constructions was engaged to complete the ‘Roads and Services’ package which is the first stage of the Webb Dock Expansion project at Port of Melbourne. This Project involves the construction of new road connections to the M1 West Gate Freeway, interface buffers and landscaping.My role is as a part of the civil team, which involves constructing two new roads, the widening of Todd Road and the installation of services to the precinct. The project involves building three signalized intersections including the removal of the two roundabouts on Todd Road with additional lanes in each direction. These works need to be completed whilst still maintaining traffic flows. My responsibilities included the civil component of the project job including the bulk earthworks, placement of pavement layers and asphalt works. Responsibilities also included all procurement and managing of the drainage associated works including optimising the design, removing redundant drainage, installing new stormwater drainage including crown box culverts and subsoil drainage.

M80 Ring Road Upgrade Project – Edgars Road to Plenty RoadValue: $112 MillionClient: VicRoads Project Description: Cameron is currently working as a Site Engineer on the M80 Ring Road Upgrade Project – Edgars Road to Plenty Road. This project involves the widening of the existing M80 Ring Road between Edgars Road and Plenty Road. Cameron is part of the civil team which involves the widening of approximately 6km of Freeway. The project involves building an additional lane in each direction, creating three lanes each way plus an extra lane between interchanges. These works need to be completed whilst still maintaining traffic volumes of up to 142,000 vehicles per day, including more than 22,000 trucks. Cameron is responsible for civil component of the job including the bulk earthworks, placement of pavement layers and asphalt works. Cameron is also responsible for all procurement and managing of the drainage associated works including optimising design, removing redundant drainage, installing new stormwater drainage and subsoil drainage. This project has required challenging programming and coordination of subcontractors and the works to achieve productive results and to allow construction while still maintaining traffic flows through the work area.
