About Cameron Stevenson
I completed an M.A. in Sound Production in September 2014, receiving a distinction pass for my audio-over-IP thesis. Before this, I had obtained a 2.1 BSc (Hons) in Audio Technology with Electronics. I continued to pursue my interest in audio-over-IP in my previous role as Product Manager at Focusrite Audio Engineering Ltd. My position as Product Manager was to develop Dante based products for the Focusrite Pro brand, including the RedNet, Red and ISA product ranges, aimed at the Post Production, Pro Studio, Installed Audio and Live Sound Reinforcement markets. My experience as a Sound Engineer in professional audio environments and my desire to be at the forefront of new technologies led me into a Product Management role at Focusrite Audio Engineering Ltd. My role as Product Manager was to create, maintain and prioritise the hardware/software roadmap and strategy for the Focusrite Pro brand, by evaluating new and existing audio markets and competitor data to ensure that Focusrite Pro remains the leader within the industry. At Focusrite, my Product Management role allowed me to work in variations of the Prince 2 project system and experience Agile Scrum. I also acted as Product Owner, and have experience as a Certified Scrum Master. I've used the Agile Scrum process to continuously evaluate new opportunities and gather feature/product requests that ultimately can feed into the roadmap strategy.I ensure that my technical knowledge is kept up-to-date and that I have a strong understanding of all technology blocks used within my products, at a high-level so that I can make effective decisions.I have since moved to a role at Entertainment Partners, as Product Manager for a SaaS Casting Portal product that allows clients to search for, book, manage, and pay Background Actor's in the film and TV industry. My team leadership and people management skills have been fundamental to my role as a Product Manager. There must be a clear vision, that adheres to the company values, set in place, and this is something that I have established by building a solid relationship with my peers. Entertainment Partners is an extremely innovative company, and there are many pressures to succeed. My team must have a solid foundation of trust in each other, as they know that they can rely on each other when projects are at their most critical.Strengths:Problem solving / Leadership / Broad technical abilities / Tact and diplomacy / Agile methodologies / Hardware / Software / Audio technology
Listed skills include Pro Tools, Audio Engineering, Studio Recording, Live Sound, and 15 others.
