In this position, Cameron is responsible for the day to day operation of the Live Green Toronto Membership Card Program as well as the City of Toronto's Sustainability Map.The Live Green Toronto Membership Card Program is a program that connects Toronto businesses with "Green" minded shoppers by offering a discount to members for making an environmentally friendly choice when shopping. Cameron's time with Toronto Employment and Social Services was split into two parts.Part 1: Internal Compliance and Control Unit:Cameron was part of a team charged with conducting a division-wide internal process audit. Looking to ensure compliance with legislated and non-legislated policies and procedures, including purchasing/procurement, privacy protection, information collection, benefits and cheque dispensation.Part 2: Employment Program Support Unit:Cameron was responsible for overseeing content management for the City's employment centre portal, and reviewing workshops and courses offered by the City's 19 employment centres. Using SQL and Domino databases Cameron was responsible for producing statistics for the divisional dashboard about employment centres' usage as well as the usage of the employment centre portal (one of the City's top 10 most used websites). In his role as Water Efficiency Program Coordinator at Toronto Water Cameron is charged with creating, implementing and promoting incentive and public education programs designed to encourage water conservation across The City. These programs are aimed at all sectors within the City from individual residents, to small businesses, to large institutional or industrial customers. Incentive based programs include:- Rebates for the replacement of water guzzling toilets and clothes washers with new water efficient models- Reduced water rates for industrial customers that commit to water efficient improvements to their facilities- Incentives for commercial or institutional customers that make water efficient improvements to their buildingsSuch programs help reduce Toronto's water demand by encouraging the use of the most water efficient fixtures, equipment, and technologies across all sectors, while public education programs encourage every individual to conserve water in their daily lives. Public education tools, such as outreach teams, free in-home water efficient landscape consultations, classroom visits, advertising and promotional events are key to pushing the message of water conservation.Cameron has also worked towards leveraging partnerships with retailers, industry associations, surrounding municipalities, and other utilities (Enbridge, Toronto Hydro, etc.) to promote the concept of conservation, whether it be energy or water (or both), while reducing overall costs for all parties and taking a more holistic approach to greening our City.Cameron has written articles for City, and industry association newsletters, and has presented at the Ontario Water Works Associations' annual conference on behalf of Toronto Water's water efficiency programs.

As a research analyst in Frost & Sullivan’s environmental and building technologies practise Cameron conducted market research on a variety of technologies ranging from renewable energy and carbon capture/sequestration to water and wastewater treatment. With a primary emphasis on the petroleum industry Cameron provided strategic consulting to a number of key players in the water, renewable energy, and carbon capture sectors. He also provided expert commentary on behalf of Frost & Sullivan to various mass media outlets including Bloomberg, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The Associated Press, and Christian Science Monitor.He has also published articles in various environmental trade journals and magazinesCameron's areas of coverage included water and wastewater technologies, water efficiency, renewable energy, carbon capture and sequstration, carbon trading, industrial air pollution controls, solid waste managment, soil/groundwater remediation, and petroleum exploration, production and refining.

In his nearly 3 years with AGAT Laboratories Cameron lead an interdisciplinary team of analysts and technicians, coordinating their efforts towards his clients’ analytical goals. Cameron’s client base included 12 top environmental consultants spanning the country.In 2007 Cameron became an integral part of AGAT’s coast-to-coast expansion plan by integrating AGAT’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and training the staff of the company’s newest Laboratory in Halifax, Nova Scotia.Cameron’s dedication to customer service and productivity management dovetailed perfectly with AGAT’s overall philosophy of laboratory analysis as a service, and manifested itself in the production of custom electronic data deliverables providing an extremely efficient transfer of information between AGAT and its clients.
