In my position as Events and Rentals Assistant, I planned, organized, and executed internal and community events. I was also responsible for overseeing inbound sales inquiries via email and following-through with inquiry through booking of events.

The Allen Lee Hughes Fellowship is a highly competitive program that trains emerging artists and theatre professionals for a career in the arts. As the Company Management Fellow, I assisted the Company Manager and Assistant Company Manager in ensuring that each company member at Arena Stage was taken care of. Day-to-day tasks included working with the Company Management team to coordinate housing and transportation, assisting with processing union and non-union contracts, and acting as a first-responder.

During the summer of 2018, I spent my third summer at Columbia University within their School of Professional Studies. The school hosts the Summer Immersion Program, a 3-6 week program for high-achieving high-schoolers. College-aged interns help with the daily running of the program through the Internship in Building Community. For my second summer as a Senior Intern, I led the Cultural Engagement Team, a group of interns tasked with planning and coordinating cultural excursions for the high-schoolers around New York City. I was in charge of a budget of over $1,000,000, and developed my skills in leadership, time-management, and empathy.

During my time as the Arts Administration Intern at theatreWashington, I learned about what it's like to work for and support an arts non-profit organization. I helped plan and execute events such as an Education Roundtable attended by over a dozen organizations, and assisted with the general needs of the office.

During my second summer in this program, I was directly responsible for the wellbeing of over 100 students and 9 interns as their Senior Residential Advisor. I also headed up the Media team, where I coordinated video creation, website upkeep, and a new written content system for the entire program, among other projects.

At my first internship in the arts, I assisted the Associate Artistic Director in casting an upcoming season through coordinating auditions, compiling breakdowns and sides, and corresponding with actors. I also standardized a system of cataloguing actors for the Artistic Department and furthered the quality of productions through assisting in rehearsals.

As an intern in the United States House of Representatives, I ensured day-to-day operations ran smoothly in the office of my Representative through organizing and cataloguing correspondence. I also provided legislative support to the Congressman and his staff through attending briefings and panels.
