I am on a mission to create a better world. On February 25th, 2016, my life changed as a result of a car accident. I was left with a traumatic brain injury -- a subdural hematoma with severe brain compression and a shifted midline. Following this accident, I had to completely relearn every aspect of my life. Through passion and a stubborn refusal to never give up, I had a miracle recovery, attended and graduated college on time, received many awards and scholarships along the way, and was featured on ABC36, in the Kentucky Alumni Magazine, podcasts, injury recovery sites, brain injury support groups, and more.My first passion is healthcare -- specifically, health technology, healthcare optimization, healthcare access, and pretty much anything related to the enhancement of the human experience. I believe that life is a gift and should be preserved in high quality. My second passion is entrepreneurship and economic development -- I believe it is important that communities have access to equal opportunity and that every individual has opportunities to grow and succeed. I have a vast array of interests -- spanning science, philosophy, sports, and more. In my free time, I'm typically working out, attending events/volunteering in my community, helping/mentoring others, or spending time with family. "Impossible" is my favorite word. I have exceeded the odds time and time again through my dedication, and I hope to use that dedication to make a difference in my personal and professional life to benefit those around me.
