I am currently a PhD student at Miami University working to obtain my PhD in Composition and Rhetoric. I am interested in the rhetoric of digital spaces, specifically digital aggression rhetoric and how that might affect more marginalized communities, especially along the lines of gender and sexuality. I also have interests in publics and circulation theory, and how digital communities engage in circulation in platformed spaces. I am also interested in how institutions of higher ed communicate about data privacy to their students.Aside from my academic career, I also have hands-on experience creating digital content and streamlining social media accounts, as well as a background in grant writing, nonprofit communication, and branding. My long term goal is to obtain a position as a tenure track professor and/or a WPA position, or with a company doing work with technology, user experience, or in a role that allows me to help businesses and organizations communicate more effectively with their communities.
