My passion is driven by 4 basic principles:Locating, Unlocking, Showcasing and Connecting talentMy passionate belief is that ALL people have translatable talents (skills) that can be nurtured, developed, transferred and utilised in business. In particular, the marginalised and those of limited academic ability. This talent may be found in areas of deprivation, it may be sub-culturally hidden from view or cloaked by a limited social background. My experience to-date absolutely recognises that a wealth of untapped potential, transferable skills and unimaginable creative ability is wasting away under our very noses - raw talent! However, the sad reality is that not only do they not recognise this talent in themselves, due to a myriad of socio-economic reasons, if they do try and exercise their fledgling ability, they are more likely to end up feeling isolated, denigrated and unable to access help. This may be due to their history or current environment, or the simple fact that they purely lack the know-how when it comes to applying talent to a worthwhile endeavour.If this (talent) can be applied, encouraged and mentored - in a language and culturally relevant context to a business, or entrepreneurial model. Maybe a generation of socially-inclusive, radical, philanthropic entrepreneurs could be raised up to the benefit of their communities and the UK in general.
