As a senior team member with AMS Events I am responsible for team leadership and assisting in the planning and execution of over 100 events. I primarily plan and execute educational and wellness focused programming events for UBC students. During larger events I take on supervision and leadership roles requiring constant problem solving and customer service to deliver a high quality event experience for all attendees

As a senior instructor acted as a team lead for our 30 person staff team. This entailed delivering a substantial portion of training, mediating staff conflicts, scheduling staff and camper activities, and providing continual support and development opportunities. I was also involved in delivering much of our ecological and outdoor education and programming. At times I was the on-site person responsible for the well being of our staff team and over 100 campers.

As a Science Facilitator I provided comprehensive customer service to those attending Science World. I delivered school workshops, spoke in front of a 400 person theater, did demonstrations with live animals and continual inspired a sense of wonder and curiosity for all guests.During part of my position I developed and delivered a week-long science themed camp for children aged 8-10

As a Co-op student I worked within Signalchem's In-vitro diagnostic research department performing a broad range of biochemical techniques. These included, DNA cloning, protein purification, SDS-Page analysis, and protein activity assays. Additionally, I worked within the logistics and aliquotting department to organize inventory and shipments which required accurately diluting samples for sale and leading other co-op students in product packaging and shipment.

In this position I hired, trained, and supervised a team of volunteers throughout a summer. I coordinated with the facilities and programming staff to create schedules and responsibilities for the team. A major part of this role was mentoring and developing the volunteers leadership abilities.

As an instructor I developed and delivered hands-on ecology education programs to youth aged 8-16. I additionally coordinated daily schedules, mentored newer staff members, supervised overnight hikes and lifegaurded a lake waterfront

As a cabin leader I was responsible for the full time supervision and support of groups of 10 children. I assisted in educational program delivery and constantly adapted to ensure each child had the best week of their life regardless of what the rest of their year was like.
