As a summer Co-Op student with Halton Hills Generating Station, I worked in the position of Operating Assistant in plant operations. Earning 4th Class steam time over the tenure, I successfully acquired the Operating Engineer's 4th Class Certification. I gained vital operating experience through the excellent training programs and documentation at Halton Hills. I also had the benefit of taking the lead on a plant-wide valve-leak survey, working closely with a contractor in testing the integrity of over 100 system valves. Overall, my experience gained at this plant has been invaluable.
