My goal is to create slick user friendly applications that are both aesthetically pleasing and technically solid.I have extensively worked with advanced front-end charting libraries (like d3.js) lately, specifically in supply chain operation/analytics and logistics, I have supported the dev team for Boeing Distribution’s BI/Analytics team (the supply chain arm of Boeing enterprise) by acting in a senior developer role and being responsible for reviewing all changes and new reports before they are considered for any promotion to a production environment.I also keep busy with creating Django apps for many different groups within the business. Which was mostly dashboards to show metrics tailored to the senior leadership team.I created an entirely green solution from the ground up to support over 600 TV screens across the entire world each with a custom set of screens specific to the relevant metrics and also announcements and useful info they needed to display. I did all of this with 1 small server with very limited resources. I rely on smart caching and distribution strategies to optimize the user experience and not overload the server hosting the data or rely on a single point of failure.I was responsible for taking existing, slow, and resource heavy queries and reports and caching them and serving them to the International and off-site teams seamlessly. I look for optimization everywhere I can.I deployed my solution globally and supported it for over a year, until I was able to hire a team of developers to pass the knowledge over and wrap the project up, it was highly successful and took over 3 years to fully build but it’s still used today and is now being fully adopted into Boeing enterprise as their main signage solution.I’ve worked in open-source and a .NET shops before and I’m agnostic to the programming language that’s being used and I pick up new frameworks and libraries fairly quickly.
