Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist (Consultant)Autism Outreach May 2009 - Mar 2011The role of the Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapist in the ABA therapy process is an important part of ensuring the growth of the Autistic student with whom you are working. An ABA therapist is provided direct instruction and continued supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). A BCBA creates an intricate and detailed program for an Autistic client that is based on resarch-based testing, observation, working 1-1 with the student, talking to the parents, etc. The ABA therapist is responsible for working 1-1 with the child on very specific goals using materials provided. The ABA therapist MUST collect data oneach session so that the BCBA can modify the program if/when necessary.
