In this exciting role I’ll be serving as CodePath’s first career liaison to the Atlanta Metro Area working closely with local students and strategic partners to drive employment outcomes for university students studying Computer Science. My role focuses on creating a culture of collaboration between metro area stakeholders in order to customize programs and services through the CodePath Career Center and CodePath Local program to support internship and job outcomes for the local student population. 🍑

My role in the Lab is to spread our organization’s educational philosophy and deliver culturally responsive solutions in creative-technology to our clients around the world. We built the Lab to support the growth of diverse people, products, and processes transforming the tech industry. We partner with individuals and organizations looking to drive better business outcomes by upskilling their product & engineering teams, and using our innovation management tools to build value-driven solutions. We also conduct regional innovation ecosystem programming in satellite Lab locations in New York, Atlanta, Minneapolis and Chicago.

It was with great humility and honor that I accepted a position as an Adjunct faculty member at Lehman College in the Department of Computer Science teaching modern web development, professional development and industry best practices to the community of bright learners in the Bronx. I've worked so far in the Department of CS as well as the Department of Continuing Education and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of unlocking the hidden tech genius inside all of my students.

Manatee Records was established in 1992 to aid in promoting and marketing young reggae artists in Jamaica. Since it's inception, Manatee's music catalogue boasts many of today's top reggae acts including Sean Paul, Elephant Man, Sizzla and Jah Cure. The label has since that time placed it's energy in the Urban Music community in Chicago and the rest of the Midwest as a vital link in the digital online marketing and promotions of talented Hip-Hop as well as Pop and R&B urban artists today. I see my role in this company as being a bridge between the music and technology worlds and developing innovative technology solutions for our artists and partners that help this independent label maintain its creative potential and viability in today's streaming-platform dominated market.

Floreo is a collective of freelance engineers, designers, business planners, and more that work collaboratively on hardware and software products. We create mobile and web software applications and also have experience designing and building hardware devices as well. I work as a project manager ensuring the completion of our various projects by maintaining communication across our various team members and ensuring product development and release. I also work as the lead mobile developer and have experience working in native iOS and react-native.

I'm excited to continue my work at Pursuit (formerly known as C4Q / Coalition for Queens) a social impact organization that creates transformation where it’s needed most. Through our four-year intensive program, we train adults with the most need and potential to gain their first tech jobs, advance in their careers, and become the next generation of leaders in tech. Having transitioned onto the Career Advancement team from the Instructional team I am presently responsible for helping our graduates get hired by leading companies like Pinterest, Kickstarter, LinkedIn, BlackRock, and JPMorgan Chase, and on average go from making $18,000 to over $85,000 yearly with the intention of continually advancing their careers for the next 3 years through direct coaching in technical and professional skills development. In this role I am responsible for:- Directly coaching and managing Pursuit Core alumni to job placement & career advancement through individualized technical/professional skills development and career plans.- Sourcing & cultivating relationships with external tech companies, recruiters and development shops to build a network and recruitment pipeline to place our student developers & alumni.- Developing & implementing strategies for matching & placing current developers into new software engineering opportunities and pathways for career advancement.- Collecting and analyzing data to understand opportunities & barriers for job placement & implement new strategies for overcoming challenges in coordination with Career Advancement team- Developing technical programming and initiatives to assist community of alumni with career advancement opportunities to further new skill development & continued learning.- Managing alumni relationships & work with team to execute on community building programming & events for all graduates

I am excited to join the Coalition for Queens team as an iOS technical expert and assistant instructor tasked with the responsibilities of developing, teaching and grading industry-standard curriculum in iOS (currently Swift 4) within their Access Code program. My first and foremost priority is to facilitating the creation and delivery of content in iOS allowing for the present and continued success of the current Access Code student fellows and recent alumni.

I've worked with Blue1647 as an educator, organizing and leading hackathons and lessons in urban centers across the nation including: Chicago, St. Louis, New York, Salt Lake City and Los Angeles. Working with kids from middle through high school, I have designed curriculum, organized hackathon event timelines, and led the instruction of different web development curriculum to new-to-coding individuals interested in learning more about STEM through the programs Blue has to offer.

I was hired by Swaybrand as a thoughtful, well-rounded developer who could apply my engineering and problem-solving skills to a wide range of problems on the platforms and environments (iOS/Android/Web) they supported and to serve as one of the lead React-Native mobile engineers. My job started with the conversion of our codebase from iOS (Swift) to React-Native. After successfully cloning and building our new code repository I was tasked with re-imagining features, building new and innovative ideas, and creating robust and well-designed software in React-Native.

I was hired as a mobile app development expert for the Mobile Makers Academy's high school training program wherein high school teachers quickly learn the technology, industry, and pedagogy needed to teach a mobile development class to students of their own. My role was to teach Swift to these teachers and instruct them on industry practices in iOS development in order to empower and encourage them to bring this knowledge to their classrooms.

As a writing fellow I've worked to improve the quality of writing in undergraduate students at Tufts University. I work with students on their early drafts of essays for class and we review their writing style, discuss their goals and ambitions for the essay and attempt to foster a productive and positive process of writing through collaboration and open-dialogue. Working with both native and non-native speakers of English I enjoy my position because it allows me to engage in deep conversations with the writers, connect with them in their writing process and help them on the journey of writing the essay without copy-editing or writing drafts for them.
