During my time at Arup I have been based in Sydney and Brisbane, as well as short term assignments in London, Singapore, Winchester and Hong Kong.I have particular experience in:- Performing Arts: room acoustic modelling using Odeon software, ray-tracing reflection analysis, design of orchestral ensemble reflectors, orchestra pits, sound scattering/diffusive surfaces, recording studios; room acoustic measurement, acoustic commissioning and critical listening.- Office buildings and fit-outs, including Green Star assessments and noise control for non-traditional ventilation systems (chilled beams, displacement ventilation), room acoustic design for atriums/voids- Educational buildings, including lecture theatre design- Noise & vibration assessments for rail and light rail projects, including design of noise mitigation measures, building isolation systems and vibroacoustic design of track- Assessment of noise impacts on animals, including underwater acoustic modelling, development of impact criteria for fauna, and mitigation measures.Key projects include:- Ukaria Cultural Centre- Han River Art Island, Seoul (1,750 seat opera theatre and 500 seat studio theatre)- QPAC Cremorne Theatre Refurbishment- Samsung Electronics Training Institute concert hall- Renovations of Hong Kong Cultural Centre concert hall- Fortitude Music Hall and The Triffid, Brisbane- Queensland Symphony Orchestra rehearsal studio within the ABC Brisbane building.- QUT Creative Industries Precinct Phase 2- UQ Advanced Engineering Building- Acoustic design for 39 Hunter Street, Sydney; 123 Albert Street, Brisbane; and 1 Bligh Street, Sydney office buildings (all 6 Star Green Star).- Noise assessments for Southern Sydney Freight Line (peer review), South West Rail Link (tender design), Gold Coast Light Rail (detailed design), Sunshine Coast Light Rail (route selection)- Underwater noise assessments for Olympic Dam Expansion, Port Bonython expansion and Cairns port expansion .
