The fund is intended to support a range of needs, from groceries to rent assistance and monetary packages that will fund the following priorities:* Direct support of resources to shift workers and service providers in and around CenturyLink Field, and in neighborhood businesses that support and serve fans on matchday. * Direct resources to small business owners to pay their critical expenses during this crisis so that they can stay in business and keep their doors open. * Direct resources to non-profits that serve and support individuals and small businesses in the South Downtown neighborhoods of SoDo, Pioneer Square and the Chinatown-International District.In its first cycle, the Seattle Sounders FC Relief Fund awarded over $200,000 in direct assistance to 143 individuals and 17 small businesses. Also receiving funding was nonprofit SCIDpda, the Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority, which has set up its own emergency fund for small businesses in Seattle’s Chinatown International District.

First, it is to celebrate the rich history of the Arts in Seattle by creating a subgroup of GFC that both follows the credo and code of GFC and incorporates those from the Arts communities (or fans of the Arts communities) into GFC. Second, RCP will seek to support the local Arts Organizations, especially those that provide arts opportunities for children. About Gorilla FC: GFC is an antifa group that builds community in Seattle with a soccer influence. The organization was inspired by the liberal supporter groups of German club St. Pauli. The group promotes equality, calling itself "anti-racist, anti-fascist, anti-sexist and anti-homophobic." GFC has organized protests and actions to combat/disrupt racist and Nazi events held in Seattle. A cornerstone of the group is coordinating benefits for causes that are important to its members. These have been held for organizations such as El Comité Impulsor del Juicio a Goni, Free Burma Rangers, and Opportunitas Aequa. A benefit was held in 2009 for anti-domestic violence group Home Alive. In 2010, a fund-raiser with Steve Zakuani and James Riley of the Sounders to benefit Doctors Without Borders raised over $20,000. Gorilla FC was one of three supporter groups to join in Sounders FC in its partnership with Mercy Corps to raise funds for relief efforts after the 2010 Colombia floods.James Riley, a Sounders FC defender, and Gorilla FC organize a yearly youth tournament to benefit Renway Boys and Girls Club.GFC has held other events such as a meet-and-greet at Fado with players Sebastien Le Toux and Taylor Graham before the 2009 MLS Cup in Seattle. Trips to away matches have included those to Portland with other groups for Sounders' U.S. Open Cup matches against the Timbers.
